# Glossary

**Wallet**: a software program that securely stores a user's public and private keys, enabling them to interact with blockchain technology to send, receive, and manage cryptocurrency and digital assets.

**Faucet**: a website or application that dispenses small amounts of cryptocurrency for free, often used for testing purposes or to introduce new users to the technology.

**dApp (Decentralized Application)**: a software application that runs on a distributed computing system, typically a blockchain, ensuring that it operates autonomously without the control of a single central authority.
